A SHORT BIOGRAPHY
In 1974, having moved from Quebec City to Toronto, Ontario, I entered the Royal conservatory of music and remained there for 5 years. After learning as much as I could, I became interested in jazz and all that goes along with that art form.
I came to Vancouver BC in 1988 with a friend and never left. I started out teaching guitar at a private school and did so for many years.
Teaching guitar more than anything taught me that showing a man how to fish is infinitely more important than feeding him. The implied meaning of the metaphor being that fostering a love of music is infinitely more important than the logistical content of weekly lessons.
I have always loved music for it’s own sake but used it to express how I was feeling about my own experience of life in the early part of this century. The resulting work culminated in the release of my first album titled “Peculiar”.
I used to play the songs I had written at open mics, coffee houses, on radio stations and just about anywhere I was welcomed in the city of Vancouver.
Lately, I have been focusing more on instrumental music and plan to release an album which should be ready by summer 2021.
